W.B. Yeats- A Dialogue of Self and Soul

After reading the poem- A Dialogue of Self and Soul, consider and reply to the following questions:
What is the message of the poem?
 Explain the symbolism in poem. What message is Yeats trying to send to his readers through these images?

    Well i actually dont know what its trying to say or what symbolism it has and i dont know what to search for on google for help...

  3. To me the message is that your self is what takes the all the things that life throws at you but your soul is the one who can fix the bad thoughts that come to you and can distinguish darkness from you self and take it away.

  4. I don't understand the first stanza at all. It's very confusing. Yeats uses the second stanza to imply that we all suffer from many indignities and that no matter how miserable our life has been, we must follow it to its source, "measure the lot", and forgive ourselves for it, and then only will we become blest.

  5. I am still confused on what the first stanza is trying to tell us. What I got out of the second stanza is that talks about growing up and how men are blind to truth.
